All LYOFOOD meals are produced in our state-of-the-art facility in Kielce, Poland.
We stay away from industrial cooking and we do not mix pre-cooked ingredients in big tubes. We simply cook, freeze-dry and pack. Our dishes are made with natural ingredients only. We do not add any preservatives or colourants. After the meal has been cooked, it undergoes the freeze-drying process. This advanced technology allows us to keep 97% of natural vitamins and nutrients intact in their natural whole food form and preserve the delicious taste of a genuine homemade dish.

Fending off gluten and other allergens requires highest quality ingredients, strategic production schedules and effective sanitation. All Bistro Menu products are packed on our isolated production lines that prevent cross-contamination. As an innovative company we also run our own, small lab. To make sure our meals are safe in every aspect, they are checked twice in the in-house laboratory, first after being cooked and then again after the freeze-drying process. Additionally, every production batch of each dish is individually tested for gluten and all Bistro Menu products are licensed to carry Crossed Grain symbol. Crossed Grain is an internationally recognized trademark helping people following a gluten-free diet make safe product choices. To use the trademark the company has to meet strict criteria both in terms of the ingredients and the production process.
In our meals we use two types of natural ingredients: the ones that grow on our own fields and those we get from our suppliers. In both cases we go to great lengths to ensure that all the ingredients meet the highest quality standards. But what exactly does this mean? It’s not only about the absence of GMO and chemicals but also about soil fertility, environmental protection, preservation of biodiversity and respect for natural cycles.
We did our best to make our Bistro Line products as environment-friendly as possible in every aspect. The packaging of Bistro Menu meals is made from two types of material: the cup, the sealing foil, the lid and the top label are all compostable and can be disposed of with organic waste.* The sleeve however is recyclable and thus should be removed beforehand and disposed of separately with recyclable paper waste.

BISTRO MENU meals have a shelf life of 1 year (from the date of packaging), which was achieved solely thanks to the unique freeze-drying process without the use of preservatives. The expiry date can be found on the bottom of the cup.
You will find more details about our lyophilisation technology in the FAQ below.
Freeze-drying or lyophilisation is a food preservation method involving low temperature dehydration. The process allows for the maintenance of the original food form texture and 97% of the nutritional values while significantly decreasing the weight of the meal. It consists of three stages:
The freeze-drying technology eliminates the need of adding preservatives and guarantees a long shelf of the meal that can be stored at room temperature.
