Daal / dhal / dahl / dal / दाल is actually a collective term for pulses but to us it is simply a synonym for mouthwatering and nutritious!

Pulses are an essential part of the South Asian cuisine and serve as a protein-rich base for various dishes. The most famous one resembling a porridge or thick stew is also referred to as daal and loved by many for its high nutritional value and infinite adaptability! There are probably as many versions of this traditional daily dish as people preparing it around the world.

In our Bistro Menu we went for red lentils slow-simmered in a creamy coconut-tomato sauce, crowned with crispy green lentils for extra bite and served with gluten free millet. In short, the ultimate freeze-dried vegan version of the Indian classic.
